BANDUNG - On Wednesday (26/10/23) lecture at ITB, the vibrant atmosphere buzzed with the anticipation of students eager to delve into architecture. The day's main theme was "Sharing the Experience of Becoming an Architect."
Christy Veronica, was invited to share her journey from being an architecture student to establishing her firm in the bustling city of Jakarta. The audience, primarily first-semester students, displayed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the event.
ITB sought Christy's insights due to her unique trajectory—contacted to teach an international class, she seamlessly blended her experiences as a student at ITB with her professional endeavors overseas. The interactive lecture not only covered the steps to becoming an architect but also delved into personal experiences, emphasizing the importance of building connections with professors and diversifying networks.
One of the highlights was Christy's discussion on the distinctions between working in Asia and the United States, offering valuable perspectives for aspiring architects. The engagement level soared as she shared anecdotes and emphasized the need for continuous skill updates.

Switch to Homemade Cleaning Solutions: to limit the emission of VOCs. Volatile Organic Compounds are emitted as a gas from certain solids or liquids which includes a variety of chemicals that can have short and long-term adverse health effects.
Leave Footwear Outside Your Home.
Use Water to Wipe and Clean Dusty Surfaces.
Avoid Visiting a Newly Painted Building: as this is when VOC emission is highest.
Ensure workspaces are clean and dust-free: Sick building syndrome can have a chronic impact on workforce health and productivity.
Use dehumidifiers and commercial air purification systems.
The right planning and choosing the right materials can improve how you maintain as sustainable healthy indoor air quality.
